What We Do
Represent affiliated 4WD Clubs to South Australian government bodies, such as Department of Environment and Water.
- Memorandum of Understanding with DEW
- Provide feedback on legislation and pending decisions (PAR Closures)
- Provide feedback on Park Management Plans
- Support workshops and planning sessions (e.g. Coastal Driving Code of Practice, )
Represent clubs to Volunteer associations, like Friends of Parks and Nature.
Support the Ngarkat Conservation Park, maintaining Tracks and Campsites through Volunteer efforts and Grants.
- “Without 4WDSA, Ngarkat Border Track would be closed”
Support Maintenance and Rehabilitation of the Environment through Volunteer efforts, such as Cactus Eradication and Beach Cleanups.
Represent SA 4WD clubs at the national level through our affiliation with 4WD Australia.
- Consult on Technical issues and regulations, such as Bull Bars, Lift kits, tyre sizes, etc.
Advocate for Sensible and Continued 4WD Access to Public Lands.
Promote Responsible and Sustainable 4WD use and Camping.
Promote Driver Education and 4WD Training Materials.
- Reference Manual and Checklist
Promote Interclub activities (Remote first aide, driver training, trips).
Provide affordable Insurance Coverage to our Clubs (included in our affiliation fee).
